ILA longshore labor contract RESOLVED!

Late in the day on Wednesday January 8, 2025 the ILA published news that they had reached a contract agreement with the USMX ending concerns about a labor strike at U.S. East and Gulf Coast ports.

We anticipate no imminent transit disruptions and the normalization of freight going over East, West and Gulf Coast ports in the weeks ahead.

We are excited to get back to “NORMAL”!!!

 

However, transportation is an “outdoor sport” so there may be some weather-related delays and inland ramp closures or railroad embargos as we work through seasonal snowstorms across the U.S. and Canada.

We will alert clients when their cargo may be affected.
